About Me

The name Micah originates from an ancient Hebrew phrase that translates to a profound question: "Who is like God?" Rather than a statement of pride, it is a call to humility, justice, and purposeful vision.

For me, that question has become a lifelong pursuit. It drives my creative work—not to seek perfection, but to capture the authentic, intentional, and deeply human moments that reflect a glimpse of that higher beauty. It is a daily reminder to look beyond the surface, stay grounded, and create with meaning.

Born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, I now call the Silver Valley home.

I am a father to two wonderful children and fiancé to an incredible woman who has been my partner in life since 2019. Outside of my work, I’m an avid golfer, a former chef, and someone who deeply appreciates the beauty of creation.

My path in photography began around the age of sixteen, though life took me on a detour through most of my twenties. Now in my thirties, a renewed faith in God has reignited the creative passion that first sparked years ago. Today, I live a family-focused, God-centered, and sober life—using my lens to honor that calling and capture the meaningful stories around me.

deeper?

I was raised in a God-focused household. My mom introduced me to Jesus when I was just 5 years old and I invited Him into my heart.

My mom was, and still is a talker. I have several memories of my mother approaching strangers in public and asking if they wanted prayer. I don't ever remember a person rejecting her offer. More times than not, that person's eyes welled up and they admitted they were struggling with something.

I believe my mother has always possessed a profound connection to the Holy Spirit and an innate gift of discernment. She truly hears Him, always knowing exactly when someone needs prayer or needs to hear His Word. Witnessing that vulnerability and lack of ego inspired much of who I am today and because of her influence, I do not fear the judgement of others. I am comfortable in my skin and I want others to feel that comfort, as well.

Meet my people

They are the breath in my lungs.

The ground beneath my feet.

They are my reason for being.

The reason I am me.
